Staff Physical Therapist
- Plans and administers medically prescribed physical therapy (PT) treatments for patients suffering from injuries or disease and to restore function, prevent disability and relieve pain.
- Consults with physicians and/or other departments about the impact of PT factors on patient heath status.
- Documents findings, treatments and other patient information for medical record as necessary. Bills patients according to proper procedures.
- Educates patient/family on appropriate care and use of various therapies and/or exercises.
- Serves as an information and education resource for patients, families and other members of the therapy staff.
- Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
- Performs related work as required.
- Recommends solutions to patient care problems.
- Maintains patient confidentiality

- Utilize effective communication skills (written and verbal) interacting with co-workers, other clinic employees, supervisors, and outside vendors.
- Promote The Hughston Clinic's role in the community by greeting and interacting with all patients, families, visitors, vendors, and guests in a courteous and respectful manner.
- Provides support or relief for other staff as needed.
- Demonstrates confidentiality in all aspects to include both patient and non-patient issues.
- Reflect THC values and is sensitive to THC's ethical and compliance principals in his/her daily activities.
- Promote resolution of concerns and conflict by routing through correct mechanism or resolving the situation.
- Able to prioritize daily functions/tasks

POSITION REQUIREMENTS Experience: 2 year experience preferred
Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy
Special Qualifications: Current Physical therapy license, Must maintain BLS certification
Outside Relationship: Must be able to relate professionally with patients, patient's family members, facility staff and physicians.
Interaction With Other Departments: All Hospital and Clinic departments
Budget: Assist the Director in working within the current budget
Assets Controlled: Supplies and equipment used in treating patients
