Job Description

Provide secretarial and office management support for the Department Chair of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Job Functions:
  • Assist Department Chair, including scheduling, travel arrangements, etc.
  • Assist in Preparation of Course Schedules
  • Assist in Processing of Course, Degree or Experimental Change Forms
  • Coordinate/Take minutes at Monthly Faculty Meetings and Annual Retreat
  • Coordinate reservations for department-controlled meeting rooms and equipment
  • Plan and coordinate department events
  • Serve as moderator for department listservs
  • Serve as Website and Social Media Content Editor/Manager
  • Maintain Department Board Paperwork and Directories
  • Process Student Employment/Waivers and maintain employment files
  • Provide Department Support for Academy of Electrical & Computer Engineering
  • Provide support for the department promotion and tenure processes
  • Other Duties as Assigned
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge & experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, PeopleSoft or similar software.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including tact, courtesy, diplomacy and a cooperative attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task.
Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $15.00 to $19.34 hourly.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
