Job Summary

The Utah Genome Project is looking for someone to assist their research coordinators with management of subjects and research.

Students will be provided with technical and scientific training on-the-job in a friendly and collaborative environment. Students will gain experience in human subject research best practices including handling of sensitive and protected health information, data collection and management, and analysis and reporting of findings. This is a great opportunity for those interested in human genetics or human subjects research.

This job posting is open to current University of Utah students.

Students must be available to work during the summer months of May, June, July, and August, 2023. There may be an opportunity to continue working for the Utah Genome Project if student desires to.

Responsibilities

The research assistant will be participating in the design, conduct and analysis of the data gathered during our human-subject trials. They may assist with the following responsibilities. They will help with the management and organization of human subject specimens and data as well as helping with the preparation and execution of study visits.
